Justice Dr. Srikrishna retired as a justice of the Supreme Court of India in 2006. He has headed a number of important public offices in heading bodies including the Expert Committee on Data Protection in India, the Finanicial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission and the Sixth Central Pay Commission to name a few. He has received an honorary doctorate for his outstanding contributions in law from SAI University, Chennai.
As mentor, Srikrishna assists JS&A in identifying a strong litigation strategy, and as a sounding board for innovative argumentation. One of the greatest mentorship lessons he has imparted is how not to remain bound by case law, but to critical reasoning. “If the supreme court case law is against you”, he often implores us, “demonstrate to the court why it was wrong through rational persuasion.”
Srikrishna is also a regular and enthusiastic participant in JS&A’s continuation education programme and thought leadership activities.
